Although the Eagle’s Nest attracts thousands of visitors every day, there are only a limited number of tickets available per day. As such, the Eagle’s Nest tickets are often completely sold out resulting in many disappointed guests missing their chance to visit. If you book one of our guided tours you will avoid this disappointment.
Yes, we have an off-season guided tour option which is available from November – mid May when the Eagle’s Nest is closed. Although it is not possible to visit the Eagle’s Nest during these months, we offer an alternative program for guests to discover the fascinating history of the Berchtesgaden/Obersalzberg area. The area holds so much historical value with regards to World War II, there’s still plenty to learn even without a visit to the famous Eagle’s Nest.

We recommend all guests dress accordingly for local weather conditions and bear in mind we will be travelling to the peak of a mountain. During the free time up at the Eagle’s Nest, guests have the opportunity to walk along a hiking trail behind the building, along a stoney path, with concrete steps. We would recommend wearing comfortable, sensible walking shoes for this.
